These 20 life lesson those I want to know the 10 years ago

Ten years ago, I would just finish school, I was training almost every day to become a professional rugby player, and I was about to start the first year of study at university. Since then, so much has changed in almost every aspect of my life.

Recently, I looked back at some of the major changes and some lessons of life which helped me on the path-I wish I could be able to tell my 10-year-old young man. Many of these lessons were learned harder from my mistakes; Some of them were lucky to be a friend or adviser to show me friends, But all of them were important in any way because they helped shape now.

1. Learn something new every day.

I try to learn and implement something new every day which can bring me closer to at least one of my goals. I think that you can learn a small thing every day, and then take a step to implement whatever you have learned, then during one year, you will be close to your vision of 365 small steps. Learning never stops You should be prepared to add and apply new knowledge every day.

2. Things can change very quickly and can. be ready.

Sometimes it seems that the more things change, the more they remain the same, which can feel like our ability to influence the outcome of the situation, which is beyond our control. But what I have realized is that things can change very quickly and, and when they do, then you just need to stay there – and be prepared to make it more. Think about all the things that have changed in the past 10 years, and think of all the opportunities that have come to the people who have been prepared. Keep an eye on what’s happening around you and do not lose whatever you are looking for.

3. Enjoy the time spent with your family.

Time often tells people who really matter. For me, in the last few years, especially for me two moments have been strengthened. The first was Trekking Kokoda trail with my parents in Papua New Guinea; The experience brought us closer than ever because we withdrew the battlegrounds where my grandfather had served during World War II. The second is spending time looking at the old photo album with my grandmother; He is slowly losing contact with the most precious memories, and it is very important to be there for those moments.

4. Get a clear plan in place for your mental health.

When I stopped playing rugby, then I was only in my early 20’s. I was mentally tired, depressed and uncertain what to do with me. I was lucky that there are people in my life who recognized it and helped me gradually to come back on my feet over time. But I also learned that how important it was to see the doctor, talk about my mental health and educate myself on as many strategies as possible to improve this part of my life. When you are in a dark place, you feel how important a good plan and solid support system are.

5. Do not be too hard on yourself Learn and move forward.

I have made many mistakes in my life and have done some pretty stupid things, but excessive criticism in my own is a bottom spiral. Knowing about forgiveness and learning from their mistakes and making sure that they are not again, this is a very harmful path.

6. Be honest.

It seems that there is no banner, but being honest with yourself and having the people you love have a great advantage for everyone involved. When you are truly honest, the level of confidence increases and your relationships improve.

7. There is more to life than this.

Growing up, I was playing every day of my life and breathed. I did not even realize that there are many other things to enjoy – the whole industry and hobbies that were equally interesting. When I finally invested my time outside my normal time, I actually started to understand who I was and where I wanted to go to life.

8. Sort your morning routine.

One of the most important parts of my day is my morning routine. When I get up early and take a step towards my goals- writing, reading, running or hitting gym-I have kept myself on the right track and have continued to grow productive in the right mindset and continue to progress for the rest of the day .

9. Start writing things.

When I discovered the benefits that physically used to write my thoughts and ideas in a notebook, on my mental clarity and creativity, I made it a fundamental part of my life. Wherever I am, I always take my notebooks.

10. Travel as many times as you can.

The best way to expand your mind and give a new perspective on the world is to travel. I have learned some of the most important lessons in life, I can find a moment or experience straight during the journey.

11. Do not expect anything in return.

One of my advisers told me a while ago when we were standing in a room full of people who had come to celebrate their life and career. His secret? Help people make connections that will provide them the necessary value, and in return will not expect anything.

12. Find out who you are grateful for.

Almost every morning when I go to work or go to the gym, I will sit and think of three things which I am small or big. It can be as easy as weather or transportation, or it is important to me as my family or my friends. This is a great habit of entering the quiet moments throughout your day.

13. Do not waste time with shocks.

We all have come to them, and sometimes it seems as if they are around us. I have certainly spent a fair share of my life trying to impress or like them. But as soon as you recognize that when you and your time are not being valued like this that shows at least one basic level of respect and civilization, then you know that you are dealing with one. Okay, then you should waste your time and get out of the way.

14. Take responsibility for everything.

Anything that happens in your life is a direct result of what happens to you or it is not done to reach there. So take ownership and start keeping the building block in place to see the changes later. no more excuses.

15. Take action beyond your comfort zone.

No one of us is feeling great because of failing to learn this lesson: regret. The only way to push your boundaries is to have the skill to grow and open new ways of doing things that can give huge results. When I took this advice, one night of the most crucial moments in my life, I met my fiancé. I was in a random midway Salsa night when I saw a beautiful girl and decided to ignore my nerves and talk to her. The rest, as they say, is history. And I still do not know how to do salsa.

16. Be patient.

Things that change quickly, they also require a great degree of patience and long-term mentality. You can not become a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in six months or even six years. It takes a lot of time, a great deal of discipline and continuity, regardless of how devoted or talented you are.

17. Enjoy short moments on the way.

The situation will take a little while to complete, so take the moment every moment to celebrate what has been achieved so far. Life cannot be all work and no game. It is important to know who it is or who is who reacts to you and prevents you from burning.

18. Speak, or others will talk to you.

Communicating how I am feeling about something is a skill that I want to constantly improve because I know how important it is to keep a voice. If you do not talk in your head and do not place your thoughts there, then do not bother with anyone else and you have to deal with the consequences.

19. Refund yourself.

Before speaking, you have to withdraw yourself. None of these lessons mean anything if, at the end of the day, you do not rely on yourself and your abilities. you can do this.

20. Do not be afraid to start something new.

In the last 10 years, I had the best moments and the things I am proud of, they are proud to decide something different. Nobody has ever achieved meaning without going out and going without a courage to walk a new way. Your game does absolutely nothing to serve the small world. So start and keep moving, and keep moving.
