The Eliminator match of the IPL 2018 was played between KKR and Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. In this match, KKR kept their hopes of reaching the finals by defeating Rajasthan by 25 runs. To make KKR in the final, now have to play against Hyderabad on May 25 in the second qualifier match. Rajasthan skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and invited Kolkata’s captain Dinesh Karthik to bat first. In the first innings, Kolkata scored 169 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Andre Russell made a scathing 49-run knock on 25 balls and brought the team’s score to 169. Chasing the target for victory, Rajasthan were able to score 144 runs in 4 overs in 20 overs. Team captain Rahane scored 46 off 41 balls. Sanju Samson scored 50 runs off 38 balls. In the KKR victory, the team’s bowlers have played a big role as they have not been able to play against the opposing team’s batsmen. Andre Russell was adjudged Man of the Match for his All–round performance.
